Pathways to Life – Skills for Work is Ideal for persons with a Learning Disability
This course focus on developing independent skills in career decision making and job seeking. This course will develop the learners ability to recognise or create opportunities, make informed choices and the skills to define and achieve their career goals connected to employment.
Learners will map out their career development journey to reflect their learning and identify future actions and opportunities.
Topics include:
– Recognition of the difference between searching for any job and planning for your career
– Recognition of how industry and opportunity awareness assists you in finding employment
– Exploring the type of work which would suit you best
– Resume and Cover Letter Writing
– Develop an understanding on how to utilise and expand networks
– Interview Skills
